Name: Sierra Madre
Size: 215 x 90 cm
Medium: Woodcut and collage on burlap

Description: From the southeast of Mexico, the Sierra Madre de Chiapas crosses through Guatemala, El Salvador and part of Honduras. Bordering the Pacific coast, Central America’s major mountain range peeks at the Earth from its volcanic peaks that rise above the clouds. When meeting the Sierra Madre, the winds exhaled by the Pacific Ocean weave a cloak of fog that sustains the cloud forests where the solitary Margay climbs its trees and the resplendent quetzal flies through its airs.
